An excellent restaurant. The menu is Hungarian style dishes and there is no doubt that much of Hungarian food is heavy both in flavour on the palate and on hitting your stomach. Not here.
Here it is clear that the head chef and kitchen staff understand food and have high end skills and techniques. The food was stylish, elegantly flavoured and satisfying.
The pork cheek stew with egg fried dumplings was excellent and I was informed by my father that his duck breast was perfectly cooked and flavoured. I ate the traditional Hungarian poppy seed dessert Makos Guba. If you visit, have this.
It's a bit more expensive than average Budapest prices, but definitely won't break the bank. And anyway, I have been to more expensive 'Hungarian' places targeting tourists that offered food less than half as good.
I would definitely go back.
Best best best place I have eaten at in Europe if you are ever in Budapest do yourself a favor and eat here staff amazing , food outstanding massive complements to the chef ,brilliant wine list , excellent value. Can not find a fault. Loved it �
We have eaten here multiple times over the past few days. The staff (I wish I could remember names) are very friendly and attentive, the food is perfect and the pairing of wines with selected dishes is superb. The cocktail menu is diverse and inspired, containing everything from South American to European inspired drinks. I would highly recommend an evening in bistro fine, you will not regret it!
